A BODY of a man has been found in a Glasgow canal. 

Around 11:30pm on Saturday night, officers received a call reporting concern for a person at the Forth and Clyde canal, near Firhill Road.

Emergency services carried out a search, and a body of a man was found in the water around 9:20am on Sunday. 

The investigation is ongoing but the death is not being treated as suspicious. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.30pm on Saturday, 3 June, 2023, officers received a report of concern for a person at the Forth and Clyde canal, near Firhill Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and searches were carried out.

"Around 9.20am on Sunday, 4 June, 2023, the body of a man was recovered from the water.

"Enquiries are ongoing and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
