IT is undoubtedly “taps aff” weather.

The Met Office has said that Tuesday could be the hottest day of the year so far in Scotland, with temperatures set to reach 25C in some parts of the country.

The National put out a call for some of your pictures of sunny Scotland and we’ve picked a few of the best.

On Monday, Glasgow was declared the sunniest place in the whole of the UK after the city recorded a remarkable 15.5 hours of sunshine. 

While the hot weather is set to continue for through to the next week, it is not expected to reach heatwave status.

Scotland may also be tipped to record the UK's hottest temperature on Tuesday, with the west of country predicted to push thermostats higher than anywhere else.
