A WOMAN in Angus has been arrested and charged after police seized cocaine and heroin with a potential street value of more than £3000.

Officers entered a property in West Abbey Street, Arbroath, where they found a quantity of heroin worth £2200 and cocaine worth £1200 on Monday May 8.

A 38-year-old woman has since been charged in connection with drug misuse and was due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court last week.

Sergeant Peter Mustard said: “We all know the misery drug misuse can cause in our local communities and this demonstrates our continued commitment to disrupting drug activity and supply in the area.

“Information from the public about drug crime is crucial to our investigations and we would urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs within the local community to contact us.”
