PLANS for a new retail park expected to bring major brands to an Aberdeenshire town are moving forward.

Hardies Property & Construction Consultants has been appointed lead consultant on the construction of a new retail park on the outskirts of Banchory.

It is expected to bring some big brands including Lidl, Home Bargains, Starbucks and an M&S Food store.

It follows Aberdeenshire Council granting planning permission to Banchory Estates to build three retail units and a drive-through café on land behind the town’s Tesco store.
