UPDATE: The National has since been told that today's event will not in fact be livestreamed. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

THE SNP leadership hustings are set to continue on Sunday as Kate Forbes, Ash Regan and Humza Yousaf all try to convince members they should be the one to replace Nicola Sturgeon.

After the party initially said they wanted to create a “safe space” for debate, the hustings will now be livestreamed for all to watch.

Since the first hustings in Cumbernauld on Wednesday, there have been two in Glenrothes and Inverness.

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s event.

When are the hustings?

Today’s hustings will take place from 1pm-3pm. Unlike the events so far, it will be exclusively online.

How can I watch?

All hustings so far have been livestreamed on the party's social media channels.

This means anyone wishing to watch can head over to the SNP’s Facebook, YouTube or Twitter channel where a livestream should be available towards the start of the event.

What are the big topics?

Thus far, the issue of independence has dominated the hustings although other topics have also been discussed.

This has included abortion buffer zones and how the Scottish Government will proceed after its gender legislation was blocked by Westminster.

Earlier this week, John Swinney announced he would stand down from government after nearly 16 years in government meaning whoever is made the party’s new leader will need to appoint a new deputy first minister.
