SCOTTISH actor Brian Cox is explosive in the new trailer for hit HBO show Succession, which was released on Tuesday.

There is no official release date for the fourth series of the Emmy award-winning drama although it is expected to be available to watch next year.

The teaser shows Cox as Waystar Royco CEO Logan Roy standing in a newsroom as he shouts “I am going to build something better, faster, leaner, wilder. I love it here! I f***ing love it!”

Not much is revealed in the trailer although it appears that relations in the Roy family are as fractious as ever, with Cox’s patriarch unwilling to cede control.

At one point in the trailer he states: “This is not the end. We’re killing the opposition.”

An official synopsis for the upcoming series reads: "In the 10-episode season four, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer.

"The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed."

The synopsis concluded: "A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed."

According to Variety, some of the series will take place in the mountains of Norway as opposed to the usual setting of Manhattan.
