ALL Under One Banner has hailed Saturday's march for independence in Edinburgh as having the "biggest turnout" for an indy march since before the Covid pandemic.

People from across Scotland arrived at the capital on Saturday afternoon, walking from Johnston Terrace all the way to the Scottish Parliament.

Pipes and drums led the march as Scots followed, waving saltires and banners reading "our right to decide".

AUOB said it was a successful march with the biggest turnout for the group in years.

That's us packed away our equipment and tidied up the rally site, leaving the grounds in a tidier condition than how we found them. Well done everyone! That was the biggest demonstration for independence on Parliament grounds since it was re-established in 1999. #AUOBEdinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 pic.twitter.com/m2jwGVlxAD
