BRUCE Springsteen fans have expressed their anger after tickets for his sought-after Murrayfield show tripled in price as they went on sale.
The rock legend is heading to Edinburgh next year with the E Street Band for the first time since 1981 – but fans were left disappointed after the cost of attending surged.
Front standing tickets for the show were originally meant to cost £155 – but Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” model, which sees prices change based on demand, meant they reached more than £400 on Thursday.
One fan complained about the new pricing system online, writing: "Ticketmaster website's 'market priced' system, allowing ticket prices to fluctuate due to demand.
"Was not aware of this practice. Any disclosure on your website? Could not find it. Pretty unhappy. And spent way too much money when seats next to me are cheaper on public sale."
Others said they would have to travel to London to see The Boss perform for a reasonable price, while some said they were “broken hearted”.
Springsteen is headed to Edinburgh on May 30 as part of a string of UK dates.
The world-famous rocker will make his debut at the Hyde Park British Summer Time festival on July 6, with a second performance lined up for July 8. They will also play Birmingham’s Villa Park on June 16.
Major cities including Dublin, Paris, and Barcelona are among those on the tour line-up too, with American arena dates also recently announced.
The 2023 dates will mark the first live shows for Springsteen and the E Street Band since the end of their 14-month, global The River Tour, which concluded in Australia in February 2017.
The E Street Band consists of Roy Bittan, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, Garry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, with Soozie Tyrell, Jake Clemons and Charlie Giordano.
