M&D’s is bringing back wristbands for the summer after customers reportedly begged for their return.

Scotland’s biggest theme park, based in Motherwell, is introducing three options for thrill seekers and families who want value for their money.

The choices include an off peak wristband which is valid from 10.30am until 2pm and costs £14.95 per person; a peak wristband which is valid from 2.30pm until 6pm and costs £19.95; and an all-day wristband valid from 10.30am until 6pm and costs £29.95 per person.

The wristbands must be booked online 24 hours in advance of visiting and are not available to buy on site on the day.

In addition, free wristbands are available to carers visiting the park with a paying customer on presentation of their ID card.

Jensen Taylor Connelly of M&D's said: "We’ve listened to customers and appreciate this summer, in particular, that value for money is crucial for families on days out, and we have gone a step further by introducing three different options to try and suit everyone."

Entry to M&D’s is free and visitors are being invited to set sail this summer for some swashbuckling pirate-themed fun weekends.

Launching on Saturday and on every weekend over the summer holidays until Sunday 14 August, visitors can look forward to free family entertainment, which changes every weekend, as well as the opportunity to explore the theme park’s pirate-themed rides and attractions.

There will be the chance to meet the characters of Neverland including Tinkerbell, Captain Hook and Peter Pan, as well as free pirate and fairy face-painting, free pirate themed arts and crafts, with prizes each day for the best dressed pirate and fairy.

Visitors can find out each weekend’s entertainment by visiting scotlandsthemepark.com.
