South Scotland MSP Carol Mochan joined a picket line this week to show her support for rail strike action.
Yesterday was the first of three days of railway strikes across the UK by members of the RMT union.
Ms Mochan, who joined striking Network Rail staff outside Edinburgh Waverley station on Tuesday, has been vocal about her support, and voiced her concern on social media at reports the Labour leadership had instructed front benchers not to join picket lines.
Although not a front bencher, the Labour MSP is defiant in her support.
She said: “The rail workers have my full support.
“The rail unions have remained strong and stood up for their pay and conditions over the years. I only wish this was the case across the board so we could see a much higher standard of living for everyone.
“Workers standing up for themselves are not causing this issue.”
