OUTLANDER star Sam Heughan has revealed some of the weird and wonderful gifts he has been sent by his fans.

The Scottish actor and writer was speaking to American singer Kelly Clarkson on her chat show when he was asked about odd gifts.

Referencing the success of the Starz show, Clarkson said: "I feel like anytime something is such a big thing in pop culture there are all these super fans who make this cool art, have you received any of those?"

Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser, responded: "I have received all kinds of things – from a duvet with my face all over it, which is errr ..."

The news was met with laughter in the audience, with Clarkson questioning how Heughan could sleep looking at his own face.

"Of course, 'hi me, goodnight'", the Outlander star joked. He said he keeps in it his trailer on set, rather than in his home.

Clarkson said: "I do find it funny though when you get art with your face on it because it's like, well it's flattering but what do I do with this? Am I meant to put it in my house like, 'so this is my face’."

Heughan went on to say that other gifts received from fans included "little dolls of us and crochet pictures”.

“It’s very creative,” he added.

The star also said he has received a crate of overripe avocados and homemade peanut butter from fans.

Heughan recently announced he would be heading to the Highlands to work on his new book, entitled “Waypoints”.
