THE First Minister has announced an end to the legal requirement to wear face masks in Scotland.

Instead of having to wear masks in shops, on public transport, and in other indoor public spaces, Scots will be given the option. The legal requirement will lapse on March 21.

The Scottish Government will continue to "strongly recommend" that face masks are worn, but will not legislate in the area, instead relying on guidance.

The announcement came as part of a raft of measures announced by the First Minister as Scotland looks to rely less on legally imposed restrictions moving forward.

But will you be wearing a face mask anyway? Or will you take yours off for good once the legal requirement lapses?
