NEARLY 100 artists and makers are ready to welcome back the public for Dumfries and Galloway’s annual open studios event.

A total of 96 participants in every part of the region will throw open their studio doors and welcome in the public between June 2-5 for Spring Fling.

It will mark the first full in-person event since the pandemic.

Alison Macleod, a jewellery maker who exhibits in Thornhill, said: “It’s such a vibrant event bringing so many people to the region.”

Amanda Simmons, a glassmaker based in Corsock, said: “Spring Fling is one of the only shows where I get to talk to the people who buy my work.”

Hope London, a painter from Wigtown, said: “It inspires me to keep creating innovating and putting the work out there.”
