BORIS Johnson sang a duet to Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive as he met with his new communications chief Guto Harri.

The bizarre moment between the two was revealed by the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg.

The two shared the duet after Johnson gave Harri a salute and then said “What am I doing? I should take the knee for you”.

Harri quit his role on GB News after he was suspended over an outcry from the channel's viewers, prompted by his decision to take the knee during a debate on the racism directed at the footballers of the England men's national team.

Just last week Johnson claimed that he would “make changes” to the way things are done in Downing Street, with many expecting a more professional workplace culture in the wake of the Partygate scandal.

According to Kuenssberg, Harri said that Johnson is “not a complete clown” and that “90% of our discussion was very serious”.

Harri’s new role as communications director comes after mass resignations in No 10, with the previous communications director, Jack Doyle, stepping down amid the scandal over Johnson’s handling of the partygate scandal and backlash to the Prime Minister's false claim that Sir Keir Starmer failed to prosecute Jimmy Savile when he was director of public prosecutions.

Harri himself has recently been critical of the Prime Minister. Most recently, on BBC Two’s Newsnight he said that the parties were “unforgiveable” and that Johnson need to give a “grovelling apology, a really grovelling apology”.
