Scotland records 33 Covid deaths and more than 8500 new cases
ANOTHER 33 people have died in Scotland after contracting Covid-19, new daily figures reveal.
A further 8516 cases were also recorded, up by almost 500 in 24 hours.
The deaths, among people who first tested positive in the previous 28 days, bring the total under that measure to 10,255.
Some 1389 people are in hospital with recently confirmed Covid, a decrease of three.
Of those patients, 32 are in intensive care, down by two.
A total of 4,407,738 people have received their first dose of a vaccination, 4,115,341 have received their second dose, and 3,269,583 have received a third dose or booster.
