GORDON Ramsay is set to open a new TV hub in Glasgow to produce his new food and drink show.

The Johnstone-born chef's TV production company Studio Ramsay will launch its third studio on Bath Street in the city centre.

The hub will be used to film the second series of BBC's One's Future Food Stars.

The firm is now aiming to recruit local production executives, development executives and producers for the programme.

The hub follows on from similar sites in London and LA.

The Hell's Kitchen star said the new studio in Glasgow is "a dream come true".

Ramsay said: "There is so much opportunity to develop some fantastic new programme ideas with a great new team in this super creative city, myself and the team are excited to move in and get going.”

Lisa Edwards, chief creative officer, said: “We’ve been keen for a while to set up a production hub in the nations and regions, outside of our Studio HQ in London.

"With our founder, Gordon Ramsay’s Scottish roots, and the hugely creative and talented work force in and around Glasgow, it feels like a natural progression as part of our ongoing growth strategy to look at growing our team in this vibrant city.”
