SCOTLAND has recorded a further 2244 new cases of Covid-19 and zero deaths in the past 24 hours, the latest Scottish Government figures show.

The latest death toll - recorded among people who died within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus - remains at 9562.

The test positivity rate for coronavirus was 10.7%, up from 9.3% the day before.

Some 715 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid, up six on the day before.

Of these 52 were in intensive care, down three.

In terms of the vaccination rollout, 4,345,855 people have received their first dose of a Covid vaccination, 3,948,483 have received their second dose, and 1,659,464 have received a third dose or booster.
