ANOTHER 20 people have died after testing positive for Covid-19, the latest daily figures show.

A further 2932 cases of the virus were also recorded in the past 24 hours, with a positivity rate of 7.2%.

The latest deaths - recorded among people who died within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus - brings the total toll under this measure to 9524.

Some 712 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19, an increase of four on the day before.

Of these people, 61 were in intensive care, a decrease of six.

IT issues mean that hospital and intensive care numbers for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Highland have not been received for today. 

A total of 4,342,107 people have received their first dose of a Covid vaccination, 3,942,927 have received their second dose, and 1,535,623 have received a third dose or booster.
