DOUGIE MacLean is to perform at a Scottish landmark in a St Andrew's Day concert.

The November gig is part of CeilidhFest, a new month-long winter festival of traditional music and culture.

MacLean, whose 1977 hit Caledonia has become a Scottish standard, has been described as a national treasure.

Now the ex-Tannahill Weavers man will perform surrounded by art and cultural treasures at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow's west end.

He said: "I'm really looking forward to my concert on St Andrew's Night, 30th November, in the wonderful Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum.

"It will be great to do a wee concert in such a beautiful setting surrounded by all our famous treasures and I hope to see you all there."

In addition to MacLean, other headline acts performing at CeilidhFest include Hipsway and Phil Cunningham & Aly Bain. Rising neo-trad stars Project Smok and shanty band Kimber's Men are also on the line-up.
