A YELLOW weather warning has been put in place for parts of northern Scotland on Monday with "heavy and persistent" rain forecast.
The Met Office says that rain will become persistent through the early hours of Monday, turning heavy at times.
The warning covers the Grampian region; including Aberdeenshire and Moray, and is in place from midnight until midday.

The Met Office said: "Heavy rain may lead to some disruption on Monday morning with spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.
"Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely."
It comes as ferry passengers are being warned to expect cancellations across Calmac's fleet today (Sunday).
Gusts of up to 45mph are expected to hit parts of Scotland, particularly on the west coast.
While many areas will see sunshine and some clear skies during the September weekend, adverse weather threatens to disrupt or cancel ferry services.
