GAMERS will have a chance to hunt a resurrected Margaret Thatcher in a level pack for the classic video game Doom.

Thatcher's Techbase sees a modified version of the original Doom game take the player through some adapted levels in the "tenth circle of Hell" which has been reworked to resemble a hellish version of the UK.

"Faced with the return of one of humanity's greatest threats, you have no choice but to head to the tenth circle of Hell: the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland," a message on the game's website states.

Thatcher's Techbase's creator, Daddy Digital, released the official trailer saying that you can send Thatcher "back to Hell".

The game launches next Friday (September 24) and will be available on computer systems like Windows, Mac, Linux as well as game emulators and will be available to download for free.

It has five levels of difficulty available and supports co-operative play.

Its trailer sees cans of Tennent's lager skinned into the game and what looks to be a version of the House of Commons and other areas that could be rooms in Westminster but under the guise of being in the "tenth circle of Hell".
