SCOTLAND has recorded more than 7000 Covid-19 cases in the latest daily count.
It is the seventh day in a row that the total has exceeded 6000, with the latest tally up from just under 6400 on Sunday.
Some 7,065 cases were confirmed in the latest 24-hour period, with a positivity rate of 14.5%.
No further deaths were recorded among people who recent tested positive, meaning the toll under this measure remains 8165. However, those figures tend to be low on Mondays as registry offices tend to be closed over the weekend.
There were 771 people in hospital overnight with recently confirmed Covid, an increase of 52 in 24 hours. It is also the highest hospital figure for six months.
Of those, 71 were in intensive care, up by 10.
A total of 4,126,263 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,736,762 have received their second dose.
