SKY Broadband and Talk customers in parts of Scotland faced internet outages this morning.

Users in north-east Scotland complained of outages at about 8am – and the company responded shortly after.

A Sky spokesperson said the firm is “aware of issues impacting Sky Broadband and Talk customers in Aberdeen and Inverness”.

They went on: “We are investigating the issue and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.”

Sky Broadband was also down in Scotland yesterday, with areas including Edinburgh, West Lothian, Queensferry, Tranent, Roslin and Kirkcaldy reporting problems.

A Sky spokesperson later told The National: “There was an outage impacting Sky Broadband and Talk customers in Aberdeen and Inverness this morning. The issue has now been resolved and we are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
