ADVANCE notice is given of a couple of events that may well be of interest to Yessers.

Those busy people at Yes Southside in Glasgow are restarting their weekly stalls later today. It’s from 12 noon to 2pm at Langside Hall in the city.

Yes Southside stated: “Our weekly Street Stall at Langside Hall is restarting this Saturday and will be continuing on a weekly basis from now on (weather and events permitting).

“We will be restricting numbers and maintaining social distancing but can easily accommodate volunteers with an extra stall if necessary.

“Campaigning materials are available for distribution, so please come along to help any Saturday you can manage from 12 noon to 2pm”

The second is Common Weal’s Dr Craig Dalzell discussing Resilient Scotland, a plan for Scotland to rebuild our society after the pandemic.

Common Weal, the respected think tank, stated: “The Resilient Scotland recovery plan is based on good jobs, economic equality, environmental sustainability and social cohesion, fuelled by a green reindustrialisation.

“Join Dr Craig Dalzell in a conversation around the key themes contained within this plan, the challenges it faces and how Scotland’s path to recovery sits alongside the wider global impact.”

The online event is on Monday, August 23 at 6.30pm and Wednesday, August 25, at 7.30pm. It’s free but you have to register via eventbrite and a suggested donation of £4 would be welcomed.
