While concerns have been raised about the lack of Scottish voices involved in the coverage, you will be pleased to hear we do have some pundits on both broadcasters.

The BBC will be covering Scotland against the Czech Republic live this afternoon with Eilidh Barbour (below), a regular football reporter for the BBC, introducing the live coverage from 1.15pm.

Barbour is from Dunkeld in Perthshire and became the presenter of The Women's Football Show in 2017, has presented on Match of the Day 2 and leads the BBC's golf coverage.

Live commentary of the game will come from Rob MacLean and James McFadden.

Rob MacLean took over from Jock Brown as BBC Scotland's main football commentator in 1997 and has been commentating and presenting on Scottish and other international football on various broadcasters.

James McFadden (below) made 48 appearances for Scotland between 2002 and 2010, scoring 15 goals.

McFadden started out with Motherwell before heading down south to Everton and finishing his playing career with Queen of the South in 2018. He was also an assistant coach for Scotland for a year until 2019.

Other Scottish pundits for the BBC are current Dundee midfielder Charlie Adam and former Scotland international player Shelley Kerr who is currently the English FA's technical lead for women's national teams.

What about ITV?

ITV have slightly fewer Scottish voices than the BBC but have managed to get some big names on board.

Much-loved former Rangers and Scotland international player Ally McCoist (below) will be doing commentary for select matches on ITV.

McCoist made 61 appearances for Scotland as a striker between 1986 and 98, scoring 19 goals as well as managing Rangers from 2011-14, a team he scored 2512 goals for from 1983 to 98.

Enjoying a stellar media career after hanging up his boots, McCoist made a record 363 appearances as a team captain on the BBC's A Question of Sport.

ITV pundits include another former Scotland international Graeme Souness who is likely now more known for his career managing a host of teams from leading Rangers to three Scottish titles, to managing Newcastle and the Portugues team Benfica among others.

He is joined as a pundit by now-former Celtic captain and midfielder Scott Brown who has won numerous titles with the Glasgow club and will be joining Aberdeen as a player-coach this year.

Brown has also made 55 appearances for the Scotland men's team.

Scotland will be playing the Czech Republic at Hampden this afternoon with the match due to kick off at 2pm and broadcast on BBC One and the iPlayer.
