INDEPENDENCE Live starts a new series tonight when Economics professor Fadhel Kaboub will be discussing the concept of economic sovereignty.

It’s the opening episode of a new series entitled Scotonomics that will be broadcast each Wednesday at 9pm. Prof Kaboub will outlines what it means to have true economic sovereignty. He will also discuss how and why small nations like Scotland must strive for sovereignty.

Indy Live told The National: “After the craziness that was the 2021 Holyrood election and our two-times-six-hour broadcasting efforts, we are back to more normal stuff. But to be honest there isn’t really a back to normal, it is more of a ‘new normal’.

“Our new normal is a lot more content on our YouTube channel, more virtual events and offering more direct support to Yes organisations And there is more. If we reach our crowdfunded target by next week then we will be able to announce something huge during Kevin Gibney’s interview with William Thomson on YES Corner on June 14.”

Meanwhile, research student Maike Dinger who featured in the Yes DIY page on Saturday has asked us to point out that her project on the Independence Referendum is strictly non-partisan and should be portrayed as such.

She said: “This means that I welcome contributions by anyone who experienced the referendum at the time. The project is in no way targeted at Yes supporters only. “
