SCOTTISH fashion designer and The Great British Sewing Bee judge Patrick Grant has joined the line-up for Glasgow Caledonian University’s annual Fashion Showcase.

A director of bespoke tailors Norton and Sons of Savile Row, clothing lines E Tautz and Sons and Community Clothing, Grant will take part in a panel discussion on the future of fashion on June 24.

The live discussion, which will include industry expert Jane Shepherdson, will focus on sustainability and what a post-pandemic world looks like for the retail sector.

Due to coronavirus restrictions, it will be the first time the university’s annual Fashion Showcase is streamed solely online.

The student designs include customised vintage clothing, outfits created from existing garments and new products incorporating the world-famous Harris Tweed cloth.
