Football’s Gambling Addiction (C4, 7.30pm)

THERE are an estimated 1.2 million problem gamblers across Britain and research suggests only a tiny proportion of these get the right help. In her debut documentary since stepping down as leader of the Scottish Conservatives, lifelong football fan Ruth Davidson examines the popularity of football betting, the growth of gambling advertising, the impact of new technology and widespread concerns about harm, particularly for younger fans.

IT’S the last in the series and Amanda’s PTA charity FUNraiser is doubling up as her birthday celebration, meaning everyone is dragged into a big event. Mixing sponsored cycling with Anne’s lethal cocktails results in a night of high drama and big revelations. Julia is ready to call time on her marriage to Paul and run off with builder Garry. Plus, Liz is thrown by the arrival of an unexpected visitor, and Meg is riding high on her cancer all clear. Finally, Kevin’s attempts to clear the air just make everything worse, and a put upon Anne finally loses her rag.

Fred and Rose West: The Search for the Victims (C5, 9pm)

MORE than a quarter of a century since he confessed to killing his daughter Heather, the name Fred West is unfortunately back in the headlines, as police dig up the grounds of the Clean Plate Cafe in Gloucester. New evidence suggests the body of Mary Bastholm may be buried there, and that she may be the latest and 13th victim of the Wests’ reign of terror to be found. Uncovering the story of Mary, and revisiting the cases of 12 other young women known to have been murdered by the Wests, this two-part series shot over the past year explains how and why these women were killed, and follows events as the current operation continues.

THROUGHOUT this latest series of the darkly comic drama, Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith have been joined by some brilliant guest stars. Tonight, renowned actor and stage director Sir Derek Jacobi joins in the fun again, after previously narrating the series three episode, The Devil Of Christmas.
