RUTH Davidson may have left her role haranguing Nicola Sturgeon in Holyrood, but that doesn’t mean she’s about to give it up completely.
The former Scottish Tory leader, who will soon take up her seat in the House of Lords, couldn’t resist a parting shot at the First Minister.
On the day that MSPs are sworn into Holyrood – after subjecting themselves to the ultra-modern process of a democratic election – the Baroness decided to have a pop.
Peers aren’t known for their patience, and it seems Davidson’s has run out when it comes to the coronavirus vaccine.
She tweeted: “Shout out to all the unvaccinated Scottish over 40s, watching their timelines fill up with folk in their 30s elsewhere celebrating their jabs...”

Just days ago Nicola Sturgeon said the roll-out is going “incredibly well” as she rubbished claims Scotland has fallen behind other UK nations, with more than a third of Scottish adults now fully vaccinated against the virus.

But doesn’t seem to cut it for the Baroness.
It’s lucky that she doesn’t have to worry about public votes anymore, because the comment did not go down well.
Kelly Given replied: “You do realise that the only people you are insulting here are the hardworking NHS staff that are working round the clock to deliver this (highly successful) programme, after working flat-out for the last year to see us through this pandemic?
“Do better.”

Another Twitter user wrote: “My my ... are you not supposed to be love bombing Scotland as decreed by your leader. Or is it ex-leader now you are about to get your reward and head to the House of Lords ?
“Plenty of young people in Scotland have had their 1st jab. No need for this attitude!”
One commenter described Davidson’s post as “disgusting” and “divisive”.
It’s another telling contribution from the Tories.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
