SCOTLAND has recorded a further 168 cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, the latest Government statistics show.

There have not been any further deaths from the virus recorded. However, the Government figures say that registry offices are generally closed on weekends, so this number may be an underestimate.

Over the past 24 hours, 11,516 new tests for Covid-19 reported results. Of these, 1.6% were positive.

The statsistics also show that yesterday there were 72 people across Scotland in hospital with recently confirmed Covid-19.
