SCOTLAND has returned a pro-independence majority of MSPs to Holyrood in the 2021 election.

The SNP achieved 64 MSPs, one short of an overall majority, gaining one on the 2016 result.

Meanwhile the Scottish Greens returned eight MSPs, an increase of two on their 2016 total.
