A CAT has been removed from a hall where an election count is taking place in Orkney.

The four-legged pet was carried out of the voting station in Orkney after sneaking in today.

Recording the footage, BBC Scotland's David Delday said: "An uninvited guest at the count in Orkney.

"Thankfully it didn’t take too much effort to chaperone this four-legged chap from the hall."

He later revealed security guards are checking on "frequent and loud scraping at the door".
