ANOTHER 283 people have contracted Covid-19 in Scotland, the latest figures show.

No new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours among people who tested positive in the previous 28 days, meaning the total under that measurement remains 7660.

A total of 227,012 people have now tested positive in Scotland, up from 226,729 the previous day.

A note on the Scottish Government Covid-19 website said today's figures include cases affected by data flow issues yesterday.

The daily test positivity rate is 0.9%, up from 0.8% yesterday, and there are 58 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus, with 11 patients in intensive care.

A total of 2,860,635 people have received their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine and 1,400,296 have received their second dose.
