WHO'S the biggest clown in Holyrood?

That's the kind of hard-hitting question Scottish political leaders are facing as they're grilled by a no-nonsense police chief.

The broadcaster has brought Chief Miekelson (played by Absolutely's Jack Docherty) into play for the Holyrood vote, after his colleague's agenda-setting grillings of the party leaders ahead of 2019's General Election.

The new programme, which will air on BBC Scotland at 10pm on April 29, sees the chief take on the leaders of some of Scotland's political parties one-on-one.

The Green (aka Lorna Slater) is quizzed about her circus training and is asked who would drive the clown car in Holyrood – shock: it's Murdo Fraser.

LibDem Willie Rennie's newfound fondness for big chairs and big chess sets is on the agenda, as is Labour's Anas Sarwar's previous career as a dentist.

SNP First Minister Nicola Sturgeon talks haircuts and conspiracy theories.
