LESLEY Riddoch asks in this week's video column if Boris Johnson can weather the storm brewing around comments he allegedly made about letting Covid victims' "bodies pile high in their thousands".

The rules sometimes seem to be for people other than Johnson, who was elected despite the public knowledge of a history of lies which has cost him more than one job role in the past.

But do a lot of the people of England care? Or is having a leader who is above the rules what a lot of those voters have been after all along?

And do independence supporters in Scotland really want another prime minister? Or is Johnson, who won't even cross the Border during an election campaign for fear of damaging his party's prospects, the perfect man for the job?
