YES Speyside and Glenlivet are to host a special online event next Wednesday (April 21) when the group’s guest will be Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp, founder of Believe in Scotland and chief executive of Business for Scotland.

According to Yes SG, as they are known, MacIntyre-Kemp “took over Business for Scotland which was a business information group that supported devolution in the 1990s, effectively relaunching it to advise business people on the economics of constitutional change and to influence Government policy”.

MacIntyre-Kemp is best known to the Yes movement for his production of the fact-filled book on the Scottish economy, Scotland The Brief. It continues to be a powerful testament to the fact that Scotland’s economy would thrive after independence.

Next Wednesday’s talk will begin at 7pm and is free. You can register to virtually attend on Eventbrite.

Meanwhile, can we bring to your attention the work of Independence Live in the run-up to the election on May 6.

For instance this week’s live-stream programme features SNP Central Scotland regional candidates.

Danish Ashraf and Iain Sinclair will join Michelle Thomson to talk about the regional campaign and the voting system at 3.30pm on Sunday, April 18.

There’s also a wide variety of interviews and chat shows available on their website, and the group wants to make it clear they will be covering “all groups and parties which support Scottish independence”.
