WE have already mentioned them before but the Yes DIY page is delighted to remind readers of The National of two interesting virtual events that are happening in the week ahead.

On Tuesday, April 13 at 7.30pm Yes Linton is hosting a Zoom presentation by the head of Believe in Scotland, Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp.

Just inside the Scottish Borders, West Linton is the home of this small but active group. It is likely that MacIntyre-Kemp will show how independence will benefit the Borders and Lothians.

Yes Linton told us: “We are delighted to have Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp of Believe in Scotland joining us for a Zoom presentation on Tuesday 13th April.

“Believe in Scotland specialises in presenting the positive case for Scottish independence, and Gordon will describe the resources available and answer your questions.”

You are asked to register for the Zoom event at eventbrite.co.uk.

The following night, Wednesday, April 14 at 7pm, Stephen Gethins will give a free talk entitled Nation to Nation – Scotland’s Place in the World.

The event is described as “a discussion on Scotland’s foreign policy by professor of international relations and former MP, Stephen Gethins”.

Yes Southside said: “Based on his new book of the same name, we will hear from Stephen about Scotland’s place in the world today and what it means for future foreign policy.”

Again you are asked to register to attend at eventbrite.co.uk.
