THE SNP may not have had the best few weeks, with support slipping in the polls for both the party and the Yes movement it largely represents, but we should never doubt the Unionists' ability to shoot themselves in the foot.

That's Lesley Riddoch's message in this week's video column, as she takes us through the previous few weeks of UK politics.

The journalist goes over some of the key points we may have missed with our eyes on Holyrood's harassment inquiry, including the Welsh First Minister saying that the "Union is over".

Riddoch also looks at how the idea of federalism is going, the Tories plans to open legal action to stop a "wildcat referendum", and at the recent Scottish Labour stooshie over the deselection of a candidate for her views on indyref2.
