WHEN he succeeded Jackson Carlaw in August, Douglas Ross vowed to bring credibility back to the Scottish Tories.

“Our focus must turn to earning the trust of people looking for a positive and credible alternative for Scotland, and who want a fresh start for our country,” he announced. “I hope you’ll join us.”

Five months on and it’s fair to say one or two doubts remain about whether Ross has achieved his goal.

What’s not in doubt, however, is his contribution to comedy.

An increasingly tetchy Ross had viewers in stitches last night as he participated in a Facebook Q&A.

From snogging Ruth Davidson to kissing his elbow, the session threw up the questions everyone has been asking about the Moray MP.
