Jamie And Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast (Channel 4, 8pm)

IF you think some people are getting rather too close to each other during the new run of Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty’s popular series, that’s probably because it was filmed in 2019, when none of us had even heard of the coronavirus. The first celebrity visitor to their bistro on Southend Pier is comedian Jack Dee, who shares tales of his time as a chef at the Ritz. Oliver also prepares a meal involving rotisserie chicken that brings back memories of childhood camping holidays for Dee.

Susan Calman’s Grand Day Out (Channel 5, 8pm)

SINCE her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing a few years ago, the Scottish lawyer-turned-comedian’s career has gone from strength to strength. In this new six-part series, Calman hits the road in a vintage campervan (named after her favourite person, Helen Mirren) to discover six of Britain’s most scenically stunning road trips. Taking in the Lake District, Devon and Cornwall, Wales, Yorkshire, the Cotswolds and her native Scotland, Susan will explore six breathtakingly beautiful, quintessentially British places and meet some amazing characters along the way.

Would I Lie to You? (BBC1, 9pm)

ROB Brydon returns to host a new run of the comedy panel show. You have to imagine team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack are running out of stories to use, but they are back, spinning tall tales as well as offering incredible personal tales. They’ll be joined in the first episode by Les Dennis, Richard Osman, Alice Levine and Lou Sanders.

Rebecka Martinsson: Arctic Murders (More4, 9pm)

THE Swedish mystery series makes its long-awaited return. Taking on the titular role made famous by Ida Engvoll (who is an executive producer on the new season), is actress Sascha Zacharias. In the opening two-parter, local Sami families of reindeer herders are involved in a long-time feud. When poaching and retaliation sparks violence, the feud appears to lead to the death of one of the young herders. As Krister and Rebecka start investigating, his heritage comes to light, and she is tempted by the offer of a new job.
