A NEW ground-breaking technology to detect bowel cancer is now being used in Glasgow. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Lanarkshire are the latest Health Boards to open clinics as part of the SCOTCAP programme.

(SCOTCAP) clinics will help detect bowel cancer earlier and cut waiting times.

Bowel cancer is the second most common cancer globally and has a very high incidence in Scotland. Around 70,000 people undergo colonoscopy treatment in Scotland each year.
