THERE’S still time to register for what Provan SNP are calling the ultimate Christmas Yes Quiz which will be live on Zoom tomorrow night at 7pm.
Entitled Santa for Scotland, the event will be hosted by comedian Susie McCabe and there will be prizes all during the event, including one for the best team name – always a source of humour at such quizzes.
Provan SNP are even suggesting that participants can enter in the spirit of the event by dressing up for the evening, though we suspect the full Santa outfit might be going a bit too far.
Susie McCabe is sure to be an entertaining and very funny host. The Glasgow comedian is fast gaining a loyal following and earlier this year did a “beer garden” tour.
Provan SNP said: “Santa for Scotland why not add a little Christmas cheer to your lockdown life.
“Get your mince pies, mulled wine, Christmas jumpers and/or ‘humbug’ outfits on the ready and join comedian Susie McCabe for the Ultimate Christmas Yes Quiz 2020 via Zoom. No matter the weather you will be warm indoors, even if it “rains dear”.
“Tickets are £5 per person plus booking fee. Register your team name and remember your team needs to be in the same room to share one screen on the night! All proceeds to Provan SNP.
“Special prize for the ‘best team name’ before the quiz begins. Prizes throughout the night.”
You can register for the quiz at Eventbrite, and details will be available to all who register.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
