The National:

Cliff Purvis took this lovely shot of a new day dawning in East Lothian.

Andy Pearson sent this fantastic shot looking out at the roof of the Scottish Parliament’s Garden Lobby at dusk.

The National:

Reader Alex Orr took this shot of Threipmuir Reservoir in the Pentland Hills, outside Edinburgh, during a brisk walk on a beautiful winter day. “I loved the lighting and the way the surrounding hills have been reflected onto the reservoir water,” he says.

The National:

Catriona Kellock of Alva captured this calm, frosty day at the confluence of the Devon and the Forth, near Cambus. The tide was coming in so the river had the appearance of flowing upstream.

The National:

Regular contributor Tor Södergren sent us this shot of Loch Avielochan, near Aviemore, taken when travel there from Edinburgh was still permitted. He says: “The boat, the grasses and a reflection to die for, I wish I was back!”

The National:

Another from Catriona Kellock, this time of a glorious-looking Castle Campbell, in Dollar, just as the sunlight hit it on a gloomy day – leaving it not quite living up to its original name of Castle Gloom...
