BBC Scotland has revealed who will replace Brian Taylor as the broadcaster's new political editor.
Corporation veteran Glenn Campbell is to take over, starting the new role in January.
Campbell, who grew up on Islay, has been with the BBC since 2001, initially working for Radio Scotland.
He said it was a “huge privilege and a huge responsibility and I am really looking forward to getting started.”
Taylor retired earlier this year after three decades in the role.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
