THERE have been no deaths of coronavirus patients recorded in Scotland in the past 24 hours but 734 new cases have been recorded.
Nicola Sturgeon announced the latest death toll at her Covid briefing.
The death toll under this measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – is now 4111.

Speaking at the Scottish Government’s coronavirus briefing, the First Minister warned because registry offices tend to be closed on weekends the death figures are likely to be “artificially low”.
She said the daily test positivity rate is 7.6%, up from 5.2% on Sunday.
A total of 106,904 people have tested positive in Scotland, up 106,170 from the previous day.
There are 1012 people in hospital confirmed to have the virus, a fall of three in 24 hours.
Of these patients, 46 are in intensive care, down by one.
