The First Minister has confirmed that the 11 council areas currently under the highest level of coronavirus restrictions will move down to a lower level on Friday.

Figures from Public Health Scotland (PHS) reveal that cases of the virus remain high in these parts of the country.

Here are the PHS figures for the latest seven day total number of cases, given first, and the rate of cases per 100,000 of population over the same period.

The data is from 28 November to 4 December.

Glasgow: 951; 150.2

West Lothian: 199; 108.7

East Ayrshire: 155; 127.0
