Five more people die in Scotland after contracting coronavirus
ANOTHER five people have died in Scotland after contracting coronavirus, the Government has announced.
The deaths, recorded in the past 24 hours among people who have recently tested positive, bring the total under that measurement to 3916.
A further 643 cases were also confirmed, with a 5.2% positivity rate.
Some 951 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19.
Of those, 62 were in intensive care.
A total of 190 of the new cases were in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, while 126 were in Lanarkshire.
Some 70 were in Ayrshire and Arran and 64 were in Lothian.
