LABOUR leader Sir Keir Starmer is self-isolating after a member of his private office tested positive for coronavirus, the party has said.

“Keir is well and not showing any symptoms. He will now be working from home,” a spokesman for Starmer said.

The news could mean Starmer will take part in this week’s PMQs virtually, as the Prime Minister did a fortnight ago when he was self-isolating after being a close contact of somebody who tested positive.

Starmer is set to give a “major speech on devolution and the future of Scotland in a modern United Kingdom” on Friday as part of the annual John P Mackintosh Memorial Lecture.

The proposals for a new devolution deal were described as “The Vow 2.0” by independence activists.
