A FURTHER 22 people have died with coronavirus in Scotland, according to the latest Scottish Government figures.

The new data shows that the number of people to die after testing positive for coronavirus in the previous 28 days is now 3911.

The figures recorded by the National Records of Scotland differ from these as they publish all deaths where Covid-19 is mentioned on the death certificate.

There were 777 new Covid-19 cases reported, accounting for 4.5% of all tests carried out.

The number of people in hospital with the virus fell from 965 to 945, while there were 64 people in intensive care units.

That is a decrease of one from the previous day.

Of the new cases there were 206 recorded in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 117 in Lanarkshire and 64 in NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
