The Met Office has issued Glasgow a yellow weather warning for snow and ice today.

Until 12pm, commuters coming to and from the city have been warned to expect disruption to travel as showers and icy stretches will fall on the city.

The weather forecaster and Traffic Scotland have urged residents and motorists to be cautious of icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

The warning has been updated to include more of the central belt and low land areas of south and east Scotland.

Minimum temperatures will reach 0C.
